On the wooded plateau of the Hohe Wand you can spend your free time in a variety of ways: paragliders set off on an adventure, mountaineers go on one of the many climbing tours and families enjoy the view or a visit to the petting zoo.

40 minutes from the city limits of Vienna is the high plateau of the Hohe Wand Nature Park. The 8km long and 1132m high Hohe Wand lies like an island in the Vienna Alps and greets visitors with impressive rock faces. The 3km long mountain road takes you into the mountains in a short time without any major effort. for hiking across meadows and through forests and enjoying a wonderful panoramic view. Due to its climatic peripheral location, the plateau is home to a wide variety of rare animal and plant species.

Families spend an exciting holiday camping in the Hohe Wand Nature Park: Here, children swap cell phones for a petting zoo and animal enclosure.
The parking space is located directly at the nature park center on the plateau. Petting zoo, playgrounds, animal enclosures, forest nature trail, observation tower, llama hikes, ... there are also easy paths that can also be used with a stroller. You can eat well in the numerous restaurants.

    Aussergewöhnliche Lage

    Stellplätze liegen zwar auf dem allgemeinen öffentlichen Besucherparkplatz. Da aber ab 19 Uhr praktisch alle Besucher abgereist sind, ergibt sich eine traumhafte Ruhelag. Ungestört und einsam mit fantastischem Nachthimmel. Strom extra € 1 - ist aber dann für alle Stromabnehmer gemeinsam bezahlt !
