Camping de Boomgaard
Camping and enjoying nature on the meandering Meuse.
In the idyllic Aldeneik (Maaseik) you will find Camping de Boomgaard. Here you can drive your tent, caravan or motorhome. The campsite is located on the cycle path network near junction 25 and in the beautiful award-winning Maasvallei Rivierpark. With the ferry you will be in the Netherlands in no time to continue your hike or bike tour. The Hoge Kempen National Park is also just a few kilometers away.
You can camp on the banks of the meandering Meuse. You stay in a natural beauty and relax as you look at the water, at the large grazers on the other side, the countless water birds or at the excursion boats on the Meuse. At dusk you can see several beavers swimming in the mynecomplas just behind the campsite. The campsite is located between the Heerenlaak and Spaniard marinas and a 10-minute bike ride from the historic Maaseik market. Restaurants and terraces 50 meters away. If you want to spend a day shopping, Maasmechelen Village or Designer Outlet Roermond are nearby.
Camping de Boomgaard is accessible all year round via our paved pitches on the Meuse. Stay between the cherry trees and overlook the Meuse. You can completely relax at this small but lovely campsite. It is the ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours in the beautiful Maasvallei River Park. If you are a water sports enthusiast, there is the opportunity for sailing, water skiing, wakeboarding, supping, canoeing, windsurfing or fishing nearby. Catering is plentiful and to top it off you can enjoy a wine tasting at the award-winning Wijndomijn Aldeneyck. Our audience consists mainly of active people seeking peace and quiet who enjoy walking and cycling. The campsite does not have a playground. Dogs are welcome.
