  • Description of the environment: My parking and camping site is located in the beautiful Geringswalde in the district of Mittelsachsen. The major cities of Leipzig, Chemnitz and the state capital Dresden, as well as other places worth seeing such as Freiberg, Meißen and Zwickau can each be reached from here in about 45 minutes by car.
    Just a few hundred meters from the square, the "Menu 2000" is available for inexpensive breakfast and lunch. Right next door, the "Karpfenschänke" restaurant welcomes you with sophisticated home cooking and regional specialties. Please note the individual opening hours!
    In the town of Geringswalde, about a 15-minute walk from the site, there are shopping facilities and an outdoor swimming pool in summer. Also worth seeing are the King Friedrich August Tower as well as the Auenwald and the Fröhne, which are ideal for hiking and cycling.
    In about 15 minutes by car or by bike you can reach, among other things, the Kriebstein Dam with its castle, open-air theater and harbor. Other destinations worth seeing are the towns of Colditz, Leisnig and Rochlitz with their beautiful castles and palaces, city centers, shopping and bathing opportunities. You can also explore the unique porphyry landscape with the "Rochlitzer Berg" and the town of Döbeln with its giant boot.
    For extended tours on two wheels, the Chemnitztal, Mulde and Elbe cycle paths are available in the area.
    The Karls Erlebnisdorf in Döbeln, which only opened in 2024, the Sonnenlandpark in Lichtenau, the Plohn leisure park and the Belantis near Leipzig offer fun for the whole family.
