De Fontein is a quiet campsite with 7 hectares of private lake and beach. The lake is state controlled and very clean for swimming. The camping pitches are surrounded by bushes and the campsite is located in the middle of the most beautiful nature. For eating, drinking and shopping you can walk to the town of Eibergen, 3 km away. Eibergen is located in one of the most beautiful cycling areas in the Netherlands. The river 'De Berkel' flows alongside the village. Here you can rent canoes and take a nice tour and experience all sorts of things. The cities of Enschede and Winterswijk with their Wednesday and Saturday markets are only 20 km away. In Winterswijk there is also Obelink, one of the largest camping goods stores in Europe.

Angeln Um das Wasser im See für Schwimmer so klar wie möglich zu halten ist das Angeln nicht erlaubt, mit Ausnahme derjenigen die schon eine Angelvereinbarung mit De Fontein haben.
