Vineyard: Donnersdorfer Falkenberg
The Falkenberg is probably the most beautiful vineyard in Franconia. The many vineyard houses are characteristic of this. You can easily hike and enjoy nature on the paved paths between vineyards, hedges and meadows. If you need even more exercise, you can climb the Zabelstein from Falkenberg via various hiking trails. The Falkenberg is also part of the Steigerwald panoramic hiking trail between Bamberg and Bad Windsheim.

In Falkenstein, a small, idyllic district of Donnersdorf, the Dörflein family runs their wine-growing business in one of the most beautiful vineyards in Franconia, the Donnersdorfer Falkenberg.
The small vineyard plots with their approximately 50 vineyard houses exude a special charm. The vineyard lies in the area of ​​the Steigerwald wine panorama and between the charming cities of Würzburg and Bamberg. The vineyards nestle in the sun-drenched foothills of the Steigerwald below the Zabelstein. At a height of 489 meters, it is an ideal destination for hikers and cyclists.
Viticulture has been practiced in the family for the fourth generation. The grape varieties Bacchus, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner and Acolon are grown.
Through painstaking manual work, the winery ensures that they can harvest healthy, sunlit grapes. These form the basis for fruity and expressive wines. Modern cellar techniques such as cold fermentation help ensure that the quality from the vineyard can also be felt in the glass.
