Schöner Platz, ausbaufähig

Der Rasenplatz ist gut gelegen. In die Stadt, zum Glasmalerei-Museum und zum Bäcker kommt man schnell.
Zurzeit ist die Wasserver- und -entsorgung defekt, darauf wird auf der Webseite hingewiesen. Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn diese bald wieder in Gang gesetzt wurde.
Die BioToilette war abgeschlossen und ist offensichtlich für die Kanuten gedacht, da sie sich an der Einsatzstelle für Kanus auf der Rur befindet.
Der Parkautomat befindet sich hinter einer Lücke im Zaun am Hallenbad, trotz Hinweisschild nicht gleich ersichtlich.
Auf dem Stellplatz campierte eine Familie mit einem Caravan, offensichtlich schon etwas länger. Es lagen weit verstreut Sachen herum. Unser erster Eindruck war, dass dieser aufgebrochen worden sei, zumal die Türe im Wind auf und zu ging. Am Abend fand dort ein ausgewachsener Ehestreit statt, wo auch Sachen durchs Gelände flogen.
Insgesamt bietet der Platz enormes Potenzial. Es wäre aber gut wenn dort auch einmal Ordnungskräfte erscheinen würden.
Es laufen am Abend allerlei Personen herum, die den Spielplatz nebenan zum Biertrinken nutzen.
Am Platz geht der Rurtal-Radweg vorbei, und so kann man direkt von dort Touren starten.
Nicht verpassen sollte man die Eisdiele am Markt!
