The Wäller Camp only opened in 2021. Located on the nature-protected lake pond in the Westerwald, you can enjoy a new campsite with a mobile home port, surrounded by a picturesque riverside landscape. There is a wonderful panorama of the lake - especially from the parking spaces and tent sites located directly on the water.
The mobile home port has 25 parking spaces and a terminal that allows arrivals and departures around the clock. It is not tied to the season of the campsite. This also applies to the tasteful sanitary facilities in the reception building, which are available to guests of the mobile home port all year round.
Classified as XXL / C, motorhomes up to twelve meters and caravans can make a stop at the Wäller Camp motorhome port. The pitches are completely paved and the lawns are easy to drive on even on rainy days. The “Camper Clean” disposal station and separate access to the lake for dogs are also located in the area of the motorhome port.

Description of the environment:
Wonderfully hikeable
The Westerwald is a German low mountain range, which is generally bordered by the rivers Dill in the east, Lahn in the south, Rhine in the west and Heller in the northeast. It is divided into three regions, which differ primarily in their landscape: Hoher Westerwald, Oberwesterwald and Niederwesterwald. The Wäller Camp and the Seeweiher are located in the southeastern tip and Hessian part of the Upper Westerwald - in the municipality of Mengerskirchen.
The gently hilly region of the Oberwesterwald is characterized by rough basalt hilltops, icy streams, lush forest areas and herb-rich juniper heaths. The landscape can be explored via numerous hiking and cycling trails. They are thanks to the Westerwald people's deep-rooted wanderlust. And if you're a real “waller”, you hike no matter what the wind and weather. This is expressed with the regional greeting “Hui Wäller, allesol” – this has been the custom for over 100 years.
The fresh Westerwald air makes the region around the Wäller Camp a place of relaxation - as does the fact that there are no densely built-up cities and noisy highways. Instead, individual picturesque villages and country roads characterize the surrounding area. That’s why you’re by no means “off the beaten track” here. Thanks to the good infrastructure and a wide variety of shopping, sports and leisure opportunities, the community of Mengerskirchen and the surrounding area make it easy to live and holiday.
No matter which direction the Wäller Camp is approached from or where you want to go from there, the feeder routes are a maximum of 15 minutes away by car. In addition, you will pass shopping and gas stations in every direction to replenish your supplies.
From Wäller Camp you can easily go on tour without a car. Many hiking and cycling paths are directly adjacent. There are also four places with shopping and refreshments within walking distance: Waldernbach is the closest at around two kilometers. Mengerskirchen, Fussingen and Merenberg are also not far away. In addition, the lake pond has its own bus stop. And with the Waldernbach Express – a local shuttle service – you can be chauffeured straight to your desired destination.

Overall impression
