With more than 3,000 naturally formed lakes, Brandenburg rightly lives up to its name as the “Land of Lakes” . The journey leads through varied natural landscapes with large and small bodies of water where travelers like to linger. Along the route , small fishing towns and large cities invite travelers to visit. Discovering Brandenburg by motorhome is an unforgettable experience.

Potsdam - the royal city

For city lovers, a visit to Potsdam is an important destination on the itinerary. Despite its internationality, the city has lost none of its original charm. The water is just as present here as the contemporary witnesses to the lives of ten Prussian rulers. One of the castles that is particularly worth seeing is Sanssouci with its famous park and orangery . But the Dutch Quarter or the Russian colony Alexandrowka are also worth a visit.

In the Babelsberg district, visitors can get a taste of real film atmosphere. The largest German film studio is located here, where more than 3,000 international and national films have been shot over the almost 100 years of its existence.

Werder is located just outside Potsdam. A town known as the pearl of the region. Surrounded by four lakes , Werder is an ideal destination for nature lovers who like to take a detour to the lovely old town. The old town itself is located on an island and in front of it there is a romantic motorhome parking space with a view over the water.

Siehdichum, Schaubetal and Schervenzsee

The community of Siehdichum is about an hour's drive from Berlin. In their area is the Schervenzsee, idyllically embedded in the forest. Here you can stay far away from mass tourism and park your motorhome at the nearby campsite under pine trees. Discover the numerous historic mills along the wildly romantic Schaubetal and go hiking. The nature park, which is several hundred square kilometers in size, is a fishing paradise and a habitat for rare bird species such as the kingfisher. If you are looking for variety in a city trip, nearby Frankfurt on the Oder is a good option. Museums and numerous sights await visitors to the green city with its many parks. The historic planned town of Eisenhüttenstadt is also worth a detour.

The water labyrinth of the Spreewald

The landscape of the Spreewald is unique. Crossed by a lagoon-like river landscape and a 970 kilometer long network of rivers , this region is the ideal destination for water lovers. Boat trips through rural Venice in Brandenburg through large and small waterways are just as possible here as simply staying quietly and taking in the special features of the river landscape. The island farms surrounded by the waterways are fascinating, with houses up to 200 years old where craftsmanship and customs come to life again. One of the special features of this region is that the waterways are regularly used by the residents of the Spreewald as a route to work and for errands.
