Mountains, hiking, camping
The Bavarian Prealps are a paradise for hikers, because with the various hiking trails and levels of difficulty, there is a great route for everyone. Beginners can start with an easy route, such as the hike to the Obere Firstalm & Spitzingsee . The route only takes around 2:30 hours and is therefore an ideal route to start with. On Stellplatz.info you can find two parking spaces very close to the starting point at Schliersee.
If you're in good shape and free from vertigo, you can then attempt the 5:30 hour long circular hike to Heimgarten & Herzogstand . A varied path and magnificent views await hikers on the two peaks at an altitude of more than 1,700 meters. Here, too, there are two motorhome parking spaces near the Walchensee starting point.
Camping and hiking go together!
Crystal clear lakes in Bavaria
If you're looking to cool off in a lake after a long day of hiking, Bavaria is the right place for you. There are of course an incredible number of beautiful lakes in Bavaria. We would like to introduce you to our top 3.
Nowhere, it is said, is Bavaria more Bavarian than at Tegernsee . So if you want to experience Bavaria up close, this is the right place for you! The best way to get to know the lake is by bike. A lap around the lake is 25 kilometers, with many opportunities to stop off. There is something on the water for every athlete's heart. Whether surfing, sailing or swimming . A real treat in one of the cleanest lakes in Europe!
One of our absolute favorite lakes in the Stellplatz.info team is by far the Königssee . There's just something magical about the way it lies there, smooth as glass, surrounded by high, majestic mountains. A trip on one of the electric boats is like a trip to another world. The boat takes you to the St. Bartholomä peninsula, with the breathtaking pilgrimage church.
If you go further by boat, you can hike to the highest waterfall in Germany, the Röthbach waterfall. The full power of nature can be observed here, as the water falls a whopping 470 meters deep.
Sightseeing, motorhome and pretzels
Würzburg is always worth a trip, and not just because of the good wine!
If you are looking for an interesting stop from the south to the north (or the other way around), you should definitely make a stop in Würzburg . The city is attractive with its many wine bars and cellars, as well as really good food. The cityscape enchants you with its magnificent buildings in baroque and rococo styles. The Würzburg Residence is very special, with the largest ceiling painting in the world.
There is a small parking space right in Würzburg, at the Friedensbrücke. There you stand right on the water and have a great view of the city.
Things are romantic in Füssen , because Neuschwanstein Castle can also be found there. One of the most visited tourist attractions in Germany. The castle of King Ludwig || of Bavaria is definitely worth a trip because you automatically feel like a queen or king when you visit the castle.
The city of Füssen could hardly be more romantic, with its many small, colorful houses. If you like a bit of action as well as romance, you can use the nearby summer toboggan run or enjoy a ride on the cable car.
Of course, we also have parking spaces in Füssen, from which the area can be easily explored.
The Stellplatz.info team wishes you a lot of fun camping in Bavaria!
