Electric scooter for more mobility on vacation

Electric scooter for more mobility on vacation - stellplatz.info

Traveling on vacation in a motorhome is a little adventure. No matter whether you decide on a weekend vacation in Austria or a trip across Europe, you are always independent, free and, above all, mobile. We'll explain below how you don't have to miss out on maximum mobility at your holiday destination.

Two-wheelers bring additional mobility to the holiday destination

Since campers like to take half their household with them on trips in order to have an absolutely independent and mobile vacation, many have discovered electric scooters in addition to bicycles. The little freedom is parked in the rear garage or in the rear rack of the motorhome.

Why take an electric scooter?

Whether it's to pick up a sandwich in the morning, go on a sightseeing tour through the city or take a quick trip to the beach, the electric scooter you bring with you makes it easy. Since a motorhome is only partially suitable for daily trips, an e-scooter offers a cost-effective and more environmentally friendly alternative. Used for a tour in the city, you save on bus and train tickets and are also much more flexible. It's a great feeling to drive around almost silently and without a smell.

An e-scooter gets the most out of your camping holiday. It is just as fast as a two-stroke engine, but has the advantages of odor-free and noiseless driving. David Wulf and Samira Kammerer, experts in the field of electromobility, have put various e-scooters through their paces for you. They published their test results in the online magazine Home&Smart. The practical electric scooter unu is particularly suitable for camping holidays. The small lightweight of 76 kg (with battery) with a small turning circle is very easy to load. Its easy handling makes it a reliable holiday companion in every situation. The simple charging process and the portable battery also enable longer trips.

The range of 50 km is sufficient for relaxed day trips. A second portable battery even doubles this. The special highlight of the unu electric scooter is the removable battery, which can be charged from a normal socket. The battery takes around five hours with the standard charger until it is full again.

In comparison, the unu e-scooter doesn't cost more than an e-bike. Since it is so cheap to buy, you can quickly recoup the purchase price with the money you save on buses and trains and the far cheaper travel costs of up to 60% compared to petrol for a two-stroke engine.

The rear carrier as a means of transport

But how is the scooter transported in the motorhome? A rear rack or a rear garage make it possible. The rear carrier for motorhomes is also suitable for an electric scooter. Even transporting an e-scooter and a bicycle at the same time is no problem with some rear racks. When transporting the e-scooter, the maximum total weight and the payload reserve of the rear axle must be taken into account. The heavier the e-scooter is in the rear garage, the greater the effective load on the axle. The low weight of the unu e-scooter of 76 kg therefore offers a major advantage over other e-scooters. Another plus point is the removable battery. This makes the e-scooter a lot lighter for the rear carrier.

The rear garage was used sensibly

In the motorhome sector, there is also the option of taking the e-scooter in the belly of the vehicle, namely in the rear garage. A rail makes it easy to place the e-scooter in it. The rails are available in a variety of designs depending on the desired weight and dimensions. You can find extendable or fold-out ramps and rails suitable for every rear garage. In addition to the loading rail, a stand rail can be used within the garage to ensure greater stability during transport.
