Description of the environment:
Arendsee is located in the northern part of Saxony-Anhalt, in the Altmark region, near the border with Lower Saxony. Our charming climatic health resort is particularly well-known for the Arendsee, one of the largest incursion lakes in Germany, which is also known as the "Pearl of the Altmark".
The area around the Arendsee is characterized by dense forests, wide meadows and fields. Numerous hiking and cycling trails invite you to take long tours through the picturesque landscape. The circular trail around the Arendsee, which is around 10 kilometers long, offers impressive views of the lake and the surrounding nature.
Directions
From Berlin:
- Take the A2 towards *Magdeburg/Hannover*.
- At the *Wolfsburg/Königslutter* exit, take the A39 towards *Salzwedel*.
- Continue on the *B248* to *Salzwedel*.
- From Salzwedel follow the *B190* towards *Arendsee*.
- At the first traffic light turn right into *Arendsee*
- Continue on L1, at the end of the road turn right, at the roundabout take the second
Exit.
- Follow the road and turn right at the fork *Harper Weg*. The campsite
is on the left side.
From Hamburg:
- Take the A1 towards *Bremen* and take the exit onto the *A250* towards
*Lueneburg*.
- At *Lüneburg*, take the B4 and follow the direction of *Uelzen*.
- In *Uelzen* continue on the B71 and B190 *Arendsee*.
- At the first traffic light turn right into *Arendsee*
- Continue on L1, at the end of the road turn right, at the roundabout take the second
Exit.
- Follow the road and turn right at the fork *Harper Weg*. The campsite
is on the left side.
