Welcome to our cottage! Glad you found us.
On the east side of our farm you will find a large meadow. You are welcome to come with several vehicles.
You camp next to/under our willow tree with a view of our mill tower and the farm building. The mill tower is always a highlight. It was built at the end of 1800 and lost its wings early on due to a fire. Until its closure, the mill was operated with a combined heat and power plant. Today the tower is a monument and provides a home for kestrels, owls and corvids.
The meadow is lined with many young fruit trees of old, endangered varieties, which we planted as part of the NABU orchard meadow project to sustainably protect old fruit varieties from extinction. The trees are now bearing fruit, which you are welcome to help yourself to.
The meadow with the parking space is directly adjacent to our farm. If you'd prefer to be completely alone and in a quieter spot, you'd be better off booking our private pitch in the orchard south of the mill. It's equipped with its own large bathroom/shower, a swing, a small sandpit, and plenty of old fruit trees and berry bushes for snacking. You can find it in the advertisements with the title "Am Mühlturm auf der Streuobstwiese"
You have your own bathroom with toilet and shower. The hot water supply is provided by an instantaneous water heater (38 degrees).
Adjacent to the meadow live our two goats 🐐🐐 Azrael and Lavender, who are shy but are always happy to have guests because they are very curious and like to observe.
We have provided a refrigerator with various cold drinks for our guests. You can also get eggs from happy chickens there.
You are welcome to use our barrel sauna and the rain shower under the linden tree.
The price (40 euros) refers to a vehicle with a maximum of two people.

- Prices for additional persons: Each additional adult (16 years and older) costs 10 euros, children from 4 years and older cost 7 euros. So if you come with several guests, these additional costs will apply per night. Please pay in cash on site. Prices for additional vehicles upon request.
Arrival from 2 p.m., departure by 1 p.m. If no one is there before you/arrives after you, you are welcome to arrive earlier/leave later.
Barrel sauna price: 22 euros for 2.5 hours for one or two people.
Price of fire bowl: nothing. You can buy wood from us (5 euros) or bring your own
There are two things here: on the one hand, the peace of country life, and on the other hand, the sounds of country life. We have tractors that help us with our work, we mow the lawn, the owls are nocturnal, and during the day, depending on the season, you can hear the kestrels circling over our cottage from time to time. And of course, we also sneak through the picture every now and then. If the field between the meadow and the road is cultivated, you will be very quiet; otherwise, you will hear more or less noise depending on the wind direction and traffic.
ACTIVITIES
I've put together a little booklet with things worth seeing and experiencing, which I'll send you upon booking and which you can use to inspire yourself.
You are relatively close to the cities of Münster, Hamm and Dortmund (train stations 6 and 9 km away respectively)
A large grocery store with a bakery, two restaurants, a snack bar, the post office and doctors are within walking distance.
Several beautiful cycling and hiking routes run along our mill—either directly into the industrial heritage or into the nature of the Münsterland region. The entrance to the Werse Cycle Path is very close by. You can also join the 100 Castles Route from here.
Swimming and hiking lakes can also be found in the surrounding area (20-35 km).
Forests can be reached by bike.
Canoe and kayak trips on the Werse or Lippe rivers are offered in the area.
By car or train you can quickly reach Münster, Dortmund, Hamm or visit small, typical Münsterland towns. In my opinion, Münster in particular is worth a day trip. And Holland is not far away either. And of course the Ruhr area with its industrial culture.
If you're looking for day trips with your children, here are some tips: In Münster, there's a wonderful all-weather zoo, a planetarium, the Mill Museum, and Lake Aasee, where you can go pedal boating. In Hamm there is the Maxipark.
Swimming pool, great sauna, indoor pool 10 km away - beautiful cycle path
Shopping facilities (groceries) 1 km away. Shopping streets in Drensteinfurt, Ahlen and Hamm are 10 km away (nice cycle paths there).
You will find numerous options for regional and Mediterranean food in Ahlen, Münster, and Hamm.
