Park your motorhome where history and nature meet. Our motorhome site on the Golden Road welcomes you with ten spacious pitches, each with its own electricity hook-up and plenty of room to enjoy life under the open sky – whether having breakfast under the awning or gazing at the stars.
The paved areas ensure stability, while small green spaces add a personal touch to each pitch. Two fresh water taps are available for your convenience, and a comfortable grey water disposal station completes the amenities. A place to arrive, breathe deeply – and perhaps stay a little longer.

Description of the environment:
The button-making town of Bärnau lies near the Czech border in the Upper Palatinate Forest. Bärnau is not only the oldest town (town rights since 1343), but with 3,061 inhabitants also the smallest town in the Stiftland region and the district of Tirschenreuth.
Bärnau made a name for itself throughout the world, especially as a button-making town. The button industry shaped the town for over 100 years. Besides the German Button Museum, individual button factories still bear witness to this rich history.
The landscape and nature of the Upper Palatinate Forest are unique. Many hiking and cycling trails invite you to explore this wonderful region. The wooded area is characterized by magnificent mountain ranges that offer views of up to 80 km. In winter, the Silberhütte cross-country skiing centre offers one of the largest cross-country skiing centres in northeastern Bavaria for winter activities.
A particular highlight is the Bärnau-Tachov History Park. The Medieval Museum uses impressive 1:1 reconstructions of medieval houses, castles and churches to show what life was like for our ancestors.
