At the top of Hornsherred you will find DCU Kulhuse campsite, a beautiful, quiet campsite in a picturesque area. The sandy beach is just a stone's throw away and invites you to play in the water and take walks along the water. The site is located in a beautiful, hilly area with tall pine trees and a nature reserve where you can enjoy lovely walks with your four- and two-legged family members.
Space to play and relax
The exciting and challenging playground offers everything playful children could wish for, including bouncy castles, climbing frames and swings, a zip line, and a ball court. In a private corner you will find a shelter and a campfire site where you can prepare snobrød and enjoy the beautiful evening atmosphere.
Forest paths and castle gardens
The Northern Forest, with Denmark's oldest oak tree, the Kongeegen, and numerous marked hiking trails, is very close to the campsite and invites you to enjoy beautiful excursions. Also visit the nearby Jægerspris Castle and its breathtaking castle park.
Cozy Hundested and Frederikssund
The small ferry from Kulhuse to Sølager takes only five minutes, so you can get to Hundested quickly. Here you can explore the city's shops and restaurants and perhaps end the day with a round of mini golf. If your day is all about museum experiences, you can take a trip to Frederikssund's colorful art museum, Willumsens Museum, with many "wild" art experiences.
