The award-winning motorhome park Elbepark Bunthaus is located in a unique place of power in the Hanseatic city: surrounded by greenery on the idyllic river island of Moorwerder, directly bordered by the northern and southern Elbe rivers. Although you can enjoy the absolute peace and quiet of nature here, the vibrant city center of Hamburg is only about 12 kilometers away – the perfect combination for your city trip and relaxing holiday!
The parking areas: Your favorite spot by the water or in the forest
On our spacious grounds, we offer generous parking spaces in various, lovingly designed areas to suit every taste:
- Norderelbe (1st & 2nd row and meadow): Enjoy the direct view of the water and the passing ship traffic of the Elbe.
- Floodplain forest: A particularly quiet and pleasantly cool area in the shade of magnificent, old trees during the summer.
- Hans-Jürgen Hess Hof: Our special tip for families with plenty of space away from the water.
- Bullihafen: A charming area exclusively for Bullis, vans and vehicles with roof tents.
- Sheet pile wall & artificial mound: Reinforced, paved areas that are also ideal for groups.
Important note: This space is exclusively reserved for motorhomes and vans. Unfortunately, caravans, tents and construction workers are not permitted on our premises.The “direst” booking system: Arrive completely independently and flexibly
We are digital pioneers! Thanks to our modern, proven booking system, you enjoy maximum flexibility when planning your trip with us:
- 24/7 Arrival & Check-in: An automatic license plate recognition system at the entrance makes checking you in very easy. Your booked space will be available from 1 p.m. and your power outlet will be activated automatically.
- Flexible booking model: Half of our seats are available for convenient online reservation in advance. We reserve the other half for spontaneous arrivals – these places can be booked online on the day of arrival or directly on site at the 24/7 terminal.
- Digital Wallet & QR Code: No more tedious handling of coins! You can easily pay for electricity (billed precisely by kWh via our CEE charging stations) and showers (down to the minute) using your digital credit. Your QR code from the booking is your key to the sanitary facilities and controls the showers. Any unused balance will be automatically refunded to your payment method after check-out (until 12 noon).
Culinary delights & service with heart
We want you to feel completely comfortable. Therefore, we offer you numerous amenities directly on the premises:
- Restaurant & Bar “Der Stackmeister”: Your cozy “living room” on site. Enjoy fresh German and Mediterranean cuisine with regional specialties in our restaurant with fireplace, lounge and large beer garden.
- Our Bunthaus Shop: In the reception you will find a fine selection of useful travel items, from toothbrushes and fresh drinks to Fritz Berger camping items and gas cylinders (grey steel cylinders and lightweight aluminum gas).
- Digital bread roll service: Order your fresh bread rolls or croissants conveniently online until midnight and pick up your ready bag in the morning.
- Free Wi-Fi: An open Wi-Fi network is available to you free of charge throughout the entire premises.
- Includes water and waste disposal: The disposal of grey water and chemical toilets as well as the fresh water supply are completely free for our guests.
- Dogs are welcome: Your loyal four-legged friends are welcome guests at our place.
Perfect connection to Hamburg city center
Exploring Hamburg is child's play from our location:
- Public transport: The bus line stops directly in front of our premises at the "Freiluftschule Moorwerder" stop. It will take you to the Wilhelmsburg S-Bahn station in about 15-20 minutes. From there you can reach Hamburg Central Station, the Landungsbrücken, the port or the Reeperbahn in just 10 minutes by S-Bahn.
- By bicycle: Via beautiful cycle paths directly along the dike you can reach HafenCity or the Old Elbe Tunnel in a picturesque ride of around 12 to 15 kilometers.
- Excursion tips directly on site: Take a walk to the historic wooden lighthouse at Bunthäuser Spitze, relax on the Elbe beach Finkenrieck or explore the Heuckenlock Moorwerder nature reserve, unique in Europe.
