Description of the environment:
The Buntspecht Holiday Park is located in the small village of Pruchten, in a peaceful setting near the Bodden lagoon. Originally an East German holiday camp, it changed ownership in 2003 and continued to operate as it always had, attracting families, school groups on field trips, and parties. It was a wonderful place to spend a holiday. In October 2021, we took over the management and began preparing for our first season in 2022. With many ideas, plans, and enthusiasm, this well-known holiday park will continue to thrive and evoke many fond memories.
Our guests greatly appreciate the park's unique location. The Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park, the Darß Forest, and our miles of sandy beaches are all within easy reach, making it the perfect escape for nature lovers. The excellent network of cycle paths makes it easy to explore the beautiful villages around the Bodden lagoon by bike.

Getting here by car is easy. If you're coming from the A19, take the Rostock East exit. Leave the motorway and continue towards Ribnitz-Damgarten/Stralsund on the B105 until you reach the Wiepkenhagen turnoff. Turn left there, heading towards Barth. Continue for approximately 20 km until you reach Bodstedt. Shortly after the harbor, turn left and follow the road towards Cafe Wolli. You'll pass it and after about 4 km, you'll find your destination on the right.
Coming from the A20, drive to Rostock and then follow the B105 to Löbnitz. Turn off there towards Zingst. Alternatively, coming via the coastal motorway (A20), take the Bad Sülze exit and drive through Löbnitz and Barth to Pruchten. In Pruchten, turn left towards the campsite and follow the road to the campsite. The destination will be on your left.
