You will find our camping and holiday park Friesensee in Isums, a tranquil town in the state-recognized resort town of Wittmund. Here you can enjoy a wonderful lake panorama away from the tourist hotspots and experience modern camping for the whole family.
Visit us with a motorhome, caravan or van: from simple short-term pitches to spacious pitches by the lake to pitches with private bathrooms, we have the right offer in every comfort class. Are you looking for holiday accommodation by the lake? Our modern, fully equipped sea lodges with their own sun terrace and our three holiday apartments offer space for up to four people and are the perfect retreat for singles, couples and families.
With its central location, our campsite offers the perfect starting point to breathe in the sea air and explore the East Frisian peninsula. Cycle along the coast, discover the resort town of Wittmund right around the corner, go on a shopping tour through “East Frisia's secret capital” Aurich or plan a day trip to the picturesque fishing village of Greetsiel.
In the summer months, the public leisure and adventure pool in Isum, right next to the camping park, attracts our guests, big and small, to jump into the cool and wet. We think: A campsite with an outdoor pool and lots of sliding fun is simply part of a perfect summer holiday. If you like it a little rougher, you can also visit the flat land for autumn and winter camping and let yourself be blown like a true East Frisian.

By car
From Bremen/Hamburg: Follow the A28 to the Oldenburg Ost junction and then change to the A29 towards Wilhelmshaven. Leave the motorway via the B210 exit towards “WHV-Süd/Roffhausen/Wittmund/Jever/Schortens”. Now follow the B210 until you reach Wittmund and follow our signs there.
From NRW: Take the A31 north towards Emden. When you reach the town of Leer, keep left and continue on the A28 to the “An d. B436/B436”. Here you turn right and follow the signs through the towns of Hesel, Bagband, Wiesmoor and Rispel to Wittmund-Isums.
