Hello,
In 96355 Tettau, at Sportplatzweg 18, there is a parking area where you can park and stay overnight in your campervan free of charge. It is a gravel lot without any facilities. A restaurant will soon be opening in the sports club building. On days when the restaurant is open, stopping by is mandatory.
Directions: Leave Tettau on the main road heading north and turn left into the access road just before the border with Thuringia. There you will find a blue signpost to the TSV 1860 Tettau sports field cross-country skiing center.
Follow the access road to the large parking area.
The access road to the parking area through Tettau is too steep for campervans.
In Tettau, at Hauptstraße 16, there is a butcher shop and bakery. It's best to call ahead to check if they are open (phone number 09269/9696). It's a 650-meter walk from the parking area. The path is partly very steep but entirely paved and illuminated in the dark.
