The Wehlingsheide location offers you a wide range of options for leisure activities and relaxation, regardless of whether you prefer it leisurely or sporty. Forests and canals invite you to hike and cycle.
Kilometers of signposted cycling and hiking trails take you through the Haard and the Hohe mark around the Haltern lakes deep into the beautiful Münsterland with its castles and moated castles.
Whether water sports such as sailing, surfing or swimming, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, horse riding, skating, Nordic walking in the Nordic Walking Park in the Haard or many other sports and leisure options are a given here.
Geographically, Wehlingsheide is located between Münsterland and the Ruhr area, so many excursion destinations in both regions can be easily reached in a short time. Your vacation will be more diverse and varied.
Visit the romantic park landscapes of the Münsterland with castles and moated castles, e.g. Vischering Castle in Lüdinghausen, the Lembeck and Raesfeld castles or the "Westphalian Versailles": Nordkirchen Castle.
Right next door in the northern Ruhr area you will find numerous monuments of industrial culture such as the LWL Industrial Museum, the old Henrichenburg ship lift or the Hoheward dump between Recklinghausen and Herten with a wonderful view over the entire industrial area.

Easily reached from the Ruhr area via the A2, Henrichenburg exit.
After the Henrichenburg exit, take the B 235 straight ahead to Datteln, follow Castroper Straße, which becomes Ahsener Straße. After about 2 km turn left into Klosterner Weg. Follow Klosterner Weg for about 1.5 km and then right into Wehling, after 300 m turn left and after approx. 200 m you will find our reception on the right.
When you arrive, please note that the Lippe Bridge on Eversumer Straße in Datteln-Ahsen is closed until further notice. If you are not coming from the Ruhr area, we recommend that you plan your route via Olfen, Flaesheim or Datteln in advance to avoid long and complicated detours.
