Our KNAUS Camping and Holiday Home Park Rügen is located in the immediate vicinity of the Baltic Sea resort of Breege/Juliusruh on a high plateau about ten meters above sea level.
The twelve-kilometer-long sand and pebble beach “Die Schaabe”, which is one of the most beautiful and longest beaches on the island, extends exactly below the camping park grounds and is easily accessible via a staircase. Whether from one of the 140 high-quality pitches for caravans and motorhomes, from a mobile home or one of our holiday homes - here, in one of the sunniest districts in Germany, you have a unique view of the fantastic sunrise on the Baltic Sea and can plan your holiday in peace with the many options that our park offers you:

The guests are so enthusiastic about it that the KNAUS Campingpark Rügen achieved a top 2 placement in the "Location, Beach and Sea" category at the Campsite Awards 2024, a pure audience award.

- Description of the environment: The historic lighthouses of Cape Arkona, the listed fishing village of Vitt, the world-famous chalk cliffs and the seaside resort of Juliusruh with its fine sandy “Schaabe” beach, known as a bathing paradise, are in the immediate vicinity. It is also worth visiting the island gallery, where there are numerous landscape paintings beautiful still lifes to admire. You should also definitely take a tour around the Altenkirchen Church and its outdoor area. Numerous old grave cheeks as well as the grave of the famous poet pastor and professor Ludwig Gotthard Kosegarten can be found here. From Breege you can take the ferry to the island of Hiddensee several times a day or take the historic island railway “Rasender Roland” to the beautiful seaside resorts of Binz and Sellin with their piers.
