Rittergut Osterholz, perhaps Germany's most beautiful estate ruins.
Experience the Osterholz manor, located in a unique landscape, in the middle of the Elbe Sphere Reserve and in the Altmark. The Altmark is the cradle of Prussia. There is an old fortified church in almost every small village and, above all, a lot of history. On the former land of the Osterholz manor, a festival took place in Farnz./Prussia. In the 1806 war, a battle took place in which the Prussian troops under Field Marshal Ludwig Yorck von Wartenburg covered Blücher's retreat across the Elbe with the remaining Prussian troops and even won.
There are also two small legends about the estate.
But above all, we have a lot of nature to offer here. When you get up, a deer or a pheasant will greet you, and in the evening the call of the kite or the bittern will accompany you to sleep. The sea eagle can also be seen nearby. Walk down to the Elbe, right through the fields, literally to the Elbe beach.
Bring peace, enjoy the beautiful nature and maybe you will meet an elf that is mentioned in the legend.
The Elbe cycle path and the Altmark circuit also pass the estate. Nearby is the Büttnershof with a small restaurant and also very close is the smallest Hanseatic town in Germany: Werben with its wonderful church and its beautifully restored half-timbered houses. Likewise Arneburg, Stendal and especially Tangermünde.
