- Description of the environment: Our Pütthaus is a double hay house made of quarry stones and is around 250 years old. The name can be traced back to the former own well (Pütt: fountain). Surrounded by a garden with farm flowers, nut and fruit trees, the Pütthaus is fairly isolated in a slightly hilly landscape between fields, woods and meadows. Directly opposite, our horses run in a pasture bordered by a small, clear, babbling stream. In the nearest larger village of Ankum (approx. 2.5 km) there is not only the highest village church tower in Germany, but also Lake Ankum, a large modernized cinema, 2 shopping centers, a diverse (experience) restaurant and much more...The Alfsee with a swimming lake and water ski facility can be reached in 15 km.
