Above Esslingen's historic old town lies Esslingen Castle, which offers a fantastic view of the Neckar Valley and, in good weather, as far as the Swabian Alb. Esslingen Castle has a public parking lot for cars, where there are two RV parking spaces available. From the castle it is only a 5-minute walk to the old town or along Wäldenbronner Str towards St. Bernhard/Hohenkreuz to the nearest bakery/restaurant/shop. The “Burg” bus stop (line 110) for public transport is located directly at the castle parking lot.
