Description of the environment:
Our small village of Pill near Schwaz extends over the districts of Pill, Niederberg and Pillberg - the district of Hochpillberg lies at over 1300 meters and is the sunny balcony of the community.
Village life in Pill is characterized by traditional customs. Numerous clubs are at home in Pill and on Pillberg. Whether it's a shooting club, a music band or young farmers - everyone wants to be there and lives the tradition with all their heart.
The town is particularly proud of its 500-year-old community center, which also houses the “Galerie im Schusterhaus”.
A panorama that is worth seeing
The Kellerjoch was a popular starting point in the Western Alps 200 years ago.
Enjoy the incredible view of the wonderful panorama of the Alps - from the Karwendel over the Rofan Mountains to the Zillertal Glaciers.
To shorten the route a bit, you can take the Kellerjochbahn to Hecherhaus. In summer, countless hiking trails in this special Tyrolean holiday region are waiting to be discovered.
Lush mountain meadows, a fantastic panoramic view and clear mountain air invite you to linger. Go on a journey of discovery at any time of the year. Spring is famous for the sea of 100,000 alpine roses, in summer people enjoy hiking above the tree line, autumn shines with colorful leaves and in winter the area around and of course "on" Kellerjoch is a true paradise for athletes and connoisseurs would like it to be a little quieter.

From the Kiefersfelden/Kufstein border crossing, take the A12 towards Innsbruck. Leave the motorway at the Vomp exit. Take the second exit at the roundabout (L222). After about 750 m, turn left at the next intersection onto the L389 towards Pill and follow the road for about 1.5 km. After entering the village, turn left onto the B171. After approx. 100 m the Plankenhof is on the left side.
Our special travel tip:
Coming from Munich, leave the A8 motorway at the Holzkirchen junction. Take the B13 and B813 via Tegernsee, Achenpaß and Achensee to Wiesing. There you turn right onto the B171 towards Innsbruck. You drive on well-developed federal highways through a beautiful landscape and also save on the motorway toll.
