There are numerous leisure activities on the wooded plateau of the Hohe Wand: Paragliders set off on an unforgettable adventure, mountaineers explore the diverse climbing routes, and families enjoy the breathtaking view, visit the popular petting zoo or discover the treasure of the Hohe Wand.
Only 40 minutes from the city limits of Vienna rises the high plateau of the Hohe Wand Nature Park. The 8 km long and 1,132 m high rock formation lies like an island in the Vienna Alps and welcomes visitors with impressive steep walls. The 3 km long mountain road takes you effortlessly into the mountains, where hiking trails lead through shady forests and offer wonderful views. Thanks to its climatically peripheral location, the plateau is home to a fascinating variety of rare animal and plant species.
