Description of the environment:
Welcome to Sun Dance Ranch; a western ranch with activities for the whole family! A small paradise, like you are very far away in America, but actually it is very close!
Sun Dance Ranch is located by the shore of the longest river of Sweden; Klarälven (which means the Clear River). From the ranch you have a beautiful view over the mountains where you will find a lot of hiking and equestrian trails. The ranch is surrounded by nature where you can enjoy the peace and quiet, the horses and the many wild animals around the ranch. Sweden is known for the beautiful landscape with mountains, rivers and wide views.
The entire ranch, saloon and cottages are cozy furnished and there are many Swedish and American details. It will feel very comfy and you will feel at home very quickly. There is a lovely relaxed and homely atmosphere. Forget the hustle and bustle and full agenda from home for a moment. Try to come back to yourself in this delightful environment.
You can stay here in one of the Swedish wooden cottages, we call them ‘Stuga’s’, or on the cozy small-scale campsite. Enjoy the different picnic and campfire places all over the ranch or order a drink or menu in the saloon. Different meals are prepared on open fire outside; the so-called outdoor cooking! It’s also allowed to cook in the cozy tipi tent or just sit there and enjoy a drink.
In the summer season we organize plenty of activities and our specialty is horse riding in a natural way in western style; riding lessons, walking trails, and day trips. But also horsemanship, academic ground work and coaching sessions belong to the possibilities.
Other activities that are possible: Yoga & meditation with the horses, canoeing, fishing, shooting with air rifle, wild life safaris, walking, cycling and swimming.
In the rest of the year you are welcome for special weeks such as a Coach week, Yoga & Horse week, Back to Native, Woman Retreat etc.
Sun Dance Ranch has all the ingredients for an unforgettable holiday for both riders and non-riders with plenty of activities for everyone!
