Description of the environment:
10 minutes on the opposite shore of the picturesque Lake Murten is the historic town of Murten. In the nearby Broye plain lies the town of Avenches (Aventicum) with its Roman ruins, the "Musée Romain" and the amphitheater worth seeing. The bilingual region is ideal for cycling and hiking tours, and the lake is ideal for swimming, paddling, sailing, motorboating and scheduled boat trips.
