Hinterstoder is located in the very south of Upper Austria, on the border with Styria - and thus on the most important north-south axis, the A9. Coming from the south, in addition to the vignette, you also have to pay the toll through the Bosruck tunnel. All visitors coming from the north do not pay an additional toll.
From Vienna, the best way to reach Hinterstoder is via the A1 Westautobahn in the direction of Salzburg.
Coming from the west, take the A8 to Salzburg and continue on the A1 Westautobahn in the direction of Linz.
From Passau, follow the A8 to Wels Nord.
In all three cases, change to the A9 at the Voralpenkreuz junction and follow this to the St. Pankraz exit. You are now only a few kilometers away from your holiday destination.
