Externsteine Motorhome Park – Your pitch at the foot of the Teutoburg Forest
Our motorhome site is located in a quiet area on the outskirts of Horn, right next to the Eggebad outdoor swimming pool. The Externsteine rock formation is only 1.8 km away, about a 20-minute walk. Many hiking and cycling tours start directly from the site, for example to the Hermann Monument, Falkenburg Castle, or Detmold.
26 pitches for motorhomes and caravans, each with an electrical hook-up (16 A). Arrival is possible around the clock; reservations are neither possible nor necessary: simply arrive and choose an available pitch.
Prices and Payment
– Parking space: €16 per night
– Electricity: €1 per kWh (coins, at the charging station)
– Fresh water: €1 per 100 liters (coins)
– Greywater and toilet cassette disposal: free of chargeThe pitch fee is paid in advance: directly upon arrival by card at the payment machine, not upon departure. You will need to enter your vehicle registration number. Departure is by 1:00 PM.
Good to know: There are no toilets or showers on the site; it is designed for self-sufficient vehicles. During the swimming season, you can use the sanitary facilities at the outdoor swimming pool next door (entrance fee €2.50). Free Wi-Fi, dogs welcome, and the site is under video surveillance.
Nearby: outdoor swimming pool, tennis and padel facility with restaurant “Matchpoint 2.0” right next door, shopping facilities in Horn.
