Description of the environment:
The Upper Rodachtal is the heart of the Franconian Forest Nature Park. Deep meadow valleys, wooded slopes, panoramic heights and valuable natural biotopes with rare plants and animal species are typical.
The region is particularly good at hiking - the Franconian Forest can boast the renowned "Quality Region Hiking Germany" seal from the German Hiking Association. The “Best of Hiking” test center is located in the tourist center in Steinwiesen, where you can borrow high-quality hiking equipment free of charge.
