Description RV park
Marbach am Neckar is an ideal location for motorhome owners. Besides its many sights and scenic location on the Neckar river, the city is an ideal starting point for further excursions in the Stuttgart region. It can be reached in a few minutes via the A 81 motorway (Pleidelsheim exit). The S-Bahn network connects you to the baroque city of Ludwigsburg in about 15 minutes and to the state capital Stuttgart in less than 30 minutes.
Accommodation: The motorhome parking area at the football pitch is located on Poppenweilerstraße / Weimarstraße in the south of the city on Schillerhöhe near the literature museums.
Fees: Free, max 2 nights
Power supply: Electricity station with 4 power outlets, coin-operated; 2.00 Euro/1 kWh. The overnight fee for the parking space is included in the electricity costs.
Disposal station: A HOLIDAY CLEAN facility is located at the Häldenmühle group sewage treatment plant on the L 1100 state road between Marbach and Murr. (Map)
CURRENT:
Due to construction work, the waste disposal facility will be closed from July 30th. DO NOT ACCESS UNTIL APPROXIMATELY MID-OCTOBER 2026.
Sightseeing: From the overnight spot it is about five minutes to the Schiller National Museum and the Museum of Modern Literature and about eight minutes to the city center with its numerous sights. If you visit Marbach on a Saturday, you shouldn't miss the weekly market in the historic old town.
