The motorhome parking area in Sondershausen is located on a centrally located, mixed-use parking lot and offers motorhome travelers a convenient overnight accommodation option in close proximity to the city center. The location is easily accessible via the P7 parking guidance system. The parking lot is used for mixed purposes and offers space for up to five motorhomes.
Located only about one kilometer from the historic city center, the motorhome site is ideally suited as a starting point for exploring the residential city of Sondershausen and the Kyffhäuser region. Thanks to the direct connection to public transport, guests can easily and conveniently reach numerous sights and leisure activities.
The extensive castle park connects the parking lot with Sondershausen Castle and the city center. Visitors will find the historic city center, the castle museum with its art collection, as well as numerous shopping opportunities, cafes and restaurants.
The "Glückauf" adventure mine offers a special experience, taking visitors to a depth of around 700 meters. Attractions include an underground concert hall, a bowling alley, and a boat trip on an underground salt lake. Also worth a visit is the leisure and recreation park “Zum Possen” with the tallest half-timbered tower in Germany.
For active holidaymakers, cycling and hiking trails are located in the immediate vicinity of the parking lot. Families benefit from a playground about 1.5 kilometers away and a swimming area about 4 kilometers away.
