Description of the environment:
The camper site is located on the edge of Boxtel and Esch. From the camper spot you can take lovely walks and enjoy the beautiful immediate surroundings.
You can also immediately get on your bike to explore the area for longer trips. The cycle junction route starts directly from the camper site.
Across from our Camper spot is the “Sparrenrijk” estate. This nature reserve and recreational forest is 53 hectares in size. This beautiful and well-organized forest is very suitable for a short walk.
The largest geological museum in the Netherlands is 2 km away. Walk among the dinosaurs and see how fossils are prepared in the laboratory. From the camper spot you can walk to this museum via Sparrenrijk.
The Kampina is located about 6 km away. This is a varied nature reserve of 1200 hectares with extensive heathland, pine forests and many fens. The Kampina, together with the Oisterwijk Forests and Fens, is part of the Natura 2000 area. It is located between Boxtel and Oisterwijk. The Kampina is an important link in the ‘Green Forest’, a coherent cluster of large nature reserves in the middle of Brabant between Tilburg, ‘s Hertogenbosch and Eindhoven. There are beautiful walking and cycling routes.
