Description RV park
Our favorite place is on the enchanted grounds of the old paper factory in Neu Kaliss.
Located directly on the river Elde, a tributary of the Elbe, you can stroll through this charming lost place, visit the exhibition about its history, go kayaking towards the old mill or to Dömitz in the nature reserve. Or you can go fishing or cycle along the Elbe cycle path.
Anyone expecting pitches or a traditional campsite feeling will not find it here.
But there is industrial culture, lost place charm and wild nature all the more!
Here is a unique, natural place to spend a few relaxing days away from the big city. The old brick buildings are home to falcons, storks and kites, deer can be found in the fields and in the morning you will be woken up by sheep or free-range chickens.
The sunset terrace on the island with its porch swing and comfortable garden furniture invites you to linger, and in the evenings there is often a fire or a spontaneous movie on the big screen.
On the site is, among other things, the Kontorhaus, where various creative projects are currently being developed and an exhibition about the history of the factory is located. On the island, you are also welcome to explore the outdoor area of the old paper factory with all its enchanted corners and let your gaze wander over the fields at sunset.
