The Barranco de Fuente Pedro campsite is surrounded by unspoilt Canarian pine forest at an altitude of over 1,300 m above sea level.
Here you can admire pine trees so large that they even have their own names, such as Pino de los Tres Hermanos or Pino del Ventilador, while walking through a forest where you can hear the song of chaffinches and other songbirds or the tapping of woodpeckers on the oldest trunks.
In addition to the great biodiversity, this natural setting also offers you insights into other aspects of the island's geography, such as its geology, climate and human activity throughout history.
The Canal de Vergara, a water infrastructure that runs very close to this campsite, is a clear example of human intervention in the area.
