Description of the environment:
The sunny panoramic plateau between Meran and Bolzano
Tisens - Prissian is in a unique location on an idyllic, sun-drenched hill in the south of the spa town of Merano. The villages in the Tisner low mountain range, on the side of the Adige Valley, once served the nobility and bourgeoisie as summer retreats and for hiking. Former summer residences, castles and noble residences, churches, mountain churches and chapels from bygone times can still be found here today.
Surrounded by vineyards, orchards and chestnut groves, unique natural sites and havens of peace can be explored in the towns of Tisens, Prissian, Grissian, Naraun, Gfrill, Platzers and Schernag. There are themed trails and places to experience such as the International Felt Art Hiking Trail or the Vorbichl Adventure Trail, or hikes to historic mountain churches such as St. Jakob or St. Hippolyt with distant views as far as the Dolomites. The two cities of Meran and Bolzano are also within sight, stretching across the Etschtal valley only about 20 minutes away by car.

Coming from Brenner/Bozen, we do NOT recommend you take the shorter route via Vilpian/Nalles to Tisens, but instead take the SINICH exit on the Bozen-Merano expressway and drive over the Lana industrial zone towards the Gampen Pass to the TISENS junction. This access route is also suitable for very large vehicles. In Tisens just follow the camping signs.
Smaller vehicles, such as vans, can choose the route via Vilpian/Nals - Prissian - Tesimo.
