Description of the environment:
The campsite is located on the edge of the charming village of Heeg, right on the water with its own small beach and boat moorings. Here, you'll find numerous water sports available on-site.
Easily rent a canoe, stand-up paddleboard, surfboard, sailboat (an Optimist for children or a Polyvalk for the whole family), or sloop (a comfortable, open motorboat).
The photogenic center of Heeg is just a 6-minute walk from the campsite.

From Hamburg:
Take the A7 north/west (towards Flensburg). Follow the A7 across the border to the Danish border/Southwest Jutland. Just across the border (at the Bredstedt junction or via Husum), take the B5 towards Germany/the Netherlands, or follow the A7 to the turnoff to the B200 towards Husum/Tönning to cut across towards the Afsluitdijk. Drive onto the A7 and cross the Afsluitdijk to Friesland. After the Afsluitdijk, take exit 13 (Witmarsum / Bolsward) and continue on the N359 towards Bolsward. Continue following the N359 towards Sneek/Lemmer, and take the N354 at the Heeg exit. Follow this road past the villages of Woudsend and Hommerts towards Heeg. Leave the N354 at the roundabout near Heeg and take the exit onto the Jeltewei. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit (straight ahead) to stay on the Ring Road. Immediately after this roundabout (after approximately 50 meters, opposite the bus stop), turn left onto the street De Burd. Follow this road for approximately 350 meters. You will find Camping Vrijhaven immediately on the right at number 25A.
From Cologne:
Take the A57 towards Krefeld until the Kreuz Moers interchange, then switch to the A42 towards Dortmund/Duisburg. Continue on the A73 towards Nijmegen. At the Ewijk interchange, take the A50 towards Arnhem. At the Grijsoord interchange, follow the A12 towards Utrecht, and immediately afterwards at the Maarsbergen interchange, take the A50 towards Apeldoorn/Zwolle. From the A50, drive north via the A28 (towards Heerenveen). Take the Sneek exit from the A7 and follow the N354 towards Heeg. Follow this road past the villages of Woudsend and Hommerts towards Heeg. Leave the N354 at the roundabout near Heeg and take the exit onto the Jeltewei. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit (straight ahead) to stay on the Ring Road.
