The Lopautal campsite is located in a very quiet location on the outskirts of Amelinghausen. Nevertheless, you can reach the town center with all the important shops, restaurants, etc. in just a few minutes by bike or on foot.
Right next to the campsite, the Lopau river flows idyllically and flows into the famous Lopausee.
The heated outdoor pool is just a stone's throw away.
In addition, the Lopautal campsite borders directly on extensive forests with hiking trails and fitness trails in the hilly Lüneburg heath landscape.

Discover the lively and colorful sides of the Lopau Valley and the Lüneburg Heath. The landscape and vegetation forms offer a changing, multifaceted and exciting natural experience. In the three nature parks of the heath, the nature-loving tourist will be overwhelmed by the beauty and uniqueness of the landscape. Nowhere else in the entire Federal Republic are there as many leisure, adventure and animal parks as close together as here. This makes a stay in Amelinghausen a true adventure for young and old. Families with children in particular have two reasons for a longer holiday stay with the unique natural surroundings and the leisure and adventure parks, which can be ideally combined.
Cycling: A new bike tour brochure describes twelve bike tours in the Amelinghausen holiday area. Each tour is provided with a detailed route description and a route sketch with information about heath areas, sights, path conditions and places to stop for refreshments. The length of the tours varies from seven to 52 kilometers. The brochure and rental bikes are available locally.
Tennis: With a modern hall and outdoor courts, the Amelinghausen Tennis Club also offers guest players the opportunity to practice their hobby at any time. And right next to the Lopautal campsite.
Strolling and shopping: The two historic cities of Lüneburg and Celle are very close to Amelinghausen. In the inner cities, one restaurant follows another. Shopping and strolling in Lüneburg and Celle with their lovingly restored old towns is an experience that is attracting more and more city dwellers to the heath.

How to get to us:
You can easily reach Amelinghausen via the BAB 7 motorway.
Coming from the south, leave this via the “Soltau/Ost” exit. Now follow the federal highway 209 according to the signs to Amelinghausen. There, before the traffic lights, turn half right into the street “Zum Lopautal”. Follow the road for approx. 500 m. The Lopautal campsite is on the left.
From the north, take the “Evendorf” exit on the left towards Amelinghausen (signposted). In Evendorf turn left again towards Amelinghausen. Now follow district road 45 straight ahead to Amelinghausen. There, before the traffic lights, turn half right into the street “Zum Lopautal”. Follow the road for approx. 500 m. The Lopautal campsite is on the left.
The best way to get from the east is via Lüneburg on the B209. You then drive into the town center and turn sharp left directly behind the second traffic light into the street “Zum Lopautal”. Follow the road for approx. 500 m. The Lopautal campsite is on the left.
