- Description of the environment: The Vorstblick campsite in Leichlingen (Rhineland) is located in a scenically beautiful area characterized by lots of greenery and water in the southern tip of the Bergisches Land region, directly on the border with the Rhineland. The campsite itself is situated in a quiet location on Oskar-Erbslöh-Straße in the Balken district, just a stone's throw from the riverbank. Landscape and Nature: The Wupper River: The most defining element of the surroundings is the Wupper, which meanders past the campsite in the immediate vicinity. The river meadows are lined with dense trees and offer beautiful, shady riverside paths. Forests and hills: As you are located at the beginning of the Bergisches Land region, the surroundings – unlike the Lower Rhine – are gently rolling and heavily wooded. Large wooded areas begin almost directly behind the campsite and invite you to enjoy extensive hikes. Dog park: Just around the corner on the banks of the Wupper River, there is a large, open dog park – perfect if you have a pet that needs to run around. Excursions and surroundings: The Wiembach stream and the ponds: Within walking distance lies the idyllic Wiembach Valley with its small streams and fish ponds, completely car-free and unspoiled. Landsberg Castle & Sensory Forest: This historic fortification is located just a short distance upstream along the Wupper River towards Mettmann/Solingen. A special highlight nearby (in the Murbach Valley) is the Sensory Forest in Leichlingen – a sculpture park in the middle of the forest that exudes a very spiritual, peaceful, and calming atmosphere. Fruit and flower town: Leichlingen is famous for its apple and strawberry orchards. Throughout the surrounding area, you'll find charming farm shops where you can buy fresh, regional produce directly from the farmers. Infrastructure and atmosphere: Centrally located yet surrounded by greenery: Leichlingen's town center, with its cafes, restaurants, and all shopping facilities, is just a few minutes away (approximately 20–25 minutes on foot, or 5 minutes by bike) along the Wupper River. Peace and quiet: Despite its proximity to the city, the dense woodland and the sound of the Wupper River provide excellent sound insulation against everyday stress.

## Directions to Camping Vorstblick
The campsite is located in the scenic outskirts of Leichlingen directly on the Wupper river, but is also easily accessible via the main road network for larger motorhomes and caravans.
## 🚗 Arrival by motorhome / car & caravan## From the A3 motorway (from the direction of Cologne or Oberhausen) [1]
1. Take exit 22-Solingen and drive onto the B229 towards Solingen/Langenfeld/Leichlingen.
2. Follow the main road for approximately 1.5 km.
3. At the large intersection, turn right onto Landrat-Trimborn-Straße (L288) towards Leichlingen.
4. Follow the L288 for about 3.5 km (passing the city center) and cross the Wupper river.
5. After crossing the Wupper bridge, turn left at the traffic lights onto Oskar-Erbslöh-Straße.
6. After about 1.2 km you will find the entrance to the Vorstblick campsite on the left-hand side.
## From the A1 motorway (coming from the direction of Wuppertal/Dortmund)
1. Take exit 96-Wermelskirchen.
2. At the roundabout, drive towards Burg/Solingen and follow the country road downhill via Hünger towards Solingen-Burg.
3. At the bottom of the valley by the Wupper river, turn left onto Solinger Straße (L403) towards Leichlingen.
4. Follow the road along the Wupper river for approximately 8 km.
5. At the roundabout in Leichlingen, take the first exit on the right onto Brückenstraße.
6. Cross the Wupper river and immediately afterwards turn right at the traffic lights onto Oskar-Erbslöh-Straße.
7. After approximately 1.2 km, the campsite is on the left-hand side.
## 🗺️ Important information for the last few meters
* Access: Oskar-Erbslöh-Straße is well-developed. The entrance to the square is clearly signposted.
* Tip for drivers: If you are being directed out of narrow side streets in the residential area, ignore them and stay on the main roads (L288 / L403) to avoid bottlenecks in the city center.
