Our EuroParcs Reestervallei is located in the middle of the extensive forests of the Reestdal at the Kop van Overijssel. Due to its special location near the border with the province of Drenthe, this holiday park is an ideal starting point for exploring the beautiful surroundings of Drenthe and Overijssel. At EuroParcs Reestervallei and in the surrounding area there is a lot to experience and discover for the whole family!
Water and forest
At the EuroParcs Reestervallei holiday park you can completely relax in the peace and quiet of nature. Hike or cycle through the beautiful Reestdal and enjoy the blooming hay meadows, the rolling grain fields and the babbling of the river De Reest. Or explore the forests and moors of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park. From the park it is only 10 minutes by car to the Zwarte Dennen play pond - with a sandy beach, sunbathing lawn and children's playground, an ideal place for the whole family. Since the shore slopes gently, it is particularly suitable for children. From EuroParcs Reestervallei you can also easily explore the province of Drenthe in the north or the Veluwe in the south.
Idyllic villages and megalithic tombs
There is also a lot to discover culturally in the area around EuroParcs Reestervallei. A visit to Giethoorn, the "Venice of the North", is a must. Climb a boat in Giethoorn and be enchanted by this special water village. Staphorst with its museum is also worth a visit. Here you can discover the secrets of this village that preserves its own customs. The megalithic tombs on the Hunebedstraße (N34) and the megalithic tomb centre in Borger are also worth a visit. If you have children, we recommend a day trip to the Wildlands Adventure Zoo in Emmen or to the Slagharen amusement park. If you want to combine culture and shopping, the historic and cozy town of Meppel is just a 15-minute drive from the holiday park.
