Description of the environment:
Land van Cuijk – where nature and culture form a unity
The Land van Cuijk is located just south of Nijmegen on the opposite side of the Meuse. The De Barendonk estate is nestled right between the villages of Beers and Mill.
The lands are in a wooded setting where some historically important buildings can be seen. The unity of nature and culture is also reflected in the varied landscape: forests, streams, meadows and pastures, orchards, arable land, comfortably chewing cows, playing rabbits and warm-blooded horses alternate the landscape.
The lands of Landgut De Barendonk cover a total of 50 hectares of land. The stately manor house was first mentioned in writing in the 15th century. It is built on a small wharf so that it is protected from high water levels of the Meuse. In addition to tourism, dairy farming is very important to our family.

If you are coming via the A73, take the Cuijk exit and then turn right towards Beers. Turn left at the Beers traffic lights and drive along Burgemeester Thijssenstraat until you get to Millseweg. After 2.5 kilometers you can enter the estate via the drawbridge.
