The surroundings of this border region are wonderful. Of course there is the calming landscape of the “Kempen”. This used to be an enormous area full of morass, heath, fens, forests and sand drifts. Much of this natural splendor has been preserved.
There are many hiking and cycling opportunities.
There are around 500 kilometers of cycle paths available in the immediate area!
In addition, you are only one kilometer from the Belgian border, so there are numerous options for trips to Burgundian Flanders.
