The town of Meinerzhagen, the westernmost gateway to the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park, lies in the Märkisches Sauerland region at the foot of the Ebbegebirge Mountains. The Fürwigge, Genkel, and Listertal dams are perfect for hiking. Winter sports are also at home in Meinerzhagen and Valbert. Over 300 km of marked trails invite you to take long hikes. A cultural monument such as the Knochenmühle (Bone Mill) or Badinghagen Water Castle offer a chance to immerse yourself in history.
