Description of the environment:
The “Monheimer Alb” recreation area is a hilly, wooded landscape on the southern Franconian Alb between the Danube, Rieskrater and Altmühltal - the most southwestern part of the Altmühltal Nature Park.
The recreation area can be optimally explored on 20 signposted circular hiking trails. All routes and their geological, botanical and cultural features along the way are described very precisely in the “Monheimer Alb hiking guide”. “Experience nature” – under this motto, numerous courses, workshops, guided hikes, etc. are offered in order to get a little closer to nature.
