- Description of the environment: The De krim holiday park is located in the north of the island of Texel. The beach and the special dune landscape, as well as the lighthouse, are close by. The village of De Cocksdorp is within walking distance. There you will find all kinds of restaurants, cafes and shops.

From Amsterdam, Texel can be reached in around 1.5 hours via Hoorn and Den Helder. You can reach Den Helder via the A7 motorway and/or the N9 trunk road. If you are coming from the east, drive over the Afsluitdijk to Den Helder. The shortest route to the ferry is signposted in Den Helder.
The ferry (TESO) runs every hour from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The crossing takes approximately 20 minutes. On Sundays and public holidays the ferry service starts one or two hours later, depending on the season. It is not possible to reserve a place.
