The landscape around Hohn is still characterized by agricultural land, well-preserved kink structures and extensive moorland areas.
In the middle of the nature reserve lies the gem of the approximately 140 hectare Hohner See. It is the last remaining shallow lake in the Eider-Treene-Sorge lowland. Due to its special location, it serves as a breeding and resting place for numerous rare bird species. This unique nature can be easily visited and explored on marked cycling and hiking trails.
