- Description of the environment: The town of Blumberg in the Southern Black Forest Nature Park is located directly on the border with Switzerland. In the state-approved resort, guests can relax and recharge their batteries. Blumberg is surrounded by Buchberg and Eichberg and is the starting point for numerous hikes. The different tours promise a tailor-made active holiday and reward your efforts with a varied and exciting landscape. A highlight is the historic train ride on the Sauschwänzlebahn. The Sauschwänzlebahn is a train route straight out of a famous German children's book: tracks wind through the landscape, tunnels lead through mountains, valleys are crossed with stately bridges and a historic locomotive in the middle of the route. Here you can experience a nostalgic atmosphere surrounded by beautiful nature. The route runs 25 kilometers from Blumberg- Zollhaus to Weizen over four bridges and through six tunnels and back again.
