Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve a seat. There is no staff on site.

"Close to the city and with a view of the countryside"....these are very good conditions for an eventful and yet relaxing stay in the "cultural city in the Teutoburg Forest".
What would you like to do? Stroll through the historic city center and pay a visit to the princely residential palace? Would you rather go hiking and cycling? How about a detour to the Hermannsdenkmal and the Externsteine?
Other worthwhile destinations in the immediate vicinity, in and around the Teutoburg Forest: the Berlebeck eagle observatory, the Heiligenkirchen bird park, the LWL open-air museum in Detmold, the Lippe State Museum, the Teuto climbing park at the Hermannsdenkmal, the football golf course at the glider airport and much more.     Tipp: zum Frühstücken ins nahegelegene Cafe, gute Backwaren, leckeren Kuchen und freundliches Personal.
    Gute WC Anlagen gibt es dort auch noch. Sehr zu empfehlen.

    Overall impression

    Bravo!!

    Endlich haben wir in Detmold den lange erwarteten Wohnmobil-Stellplatz. Er ist stadtnah, ruhig und sehr schön angelegt. Hier lässt es sich sehr gut übernachten. Leider müssen wir als langjährige WB-Fahrer einiges bemängeln. Z.B. ist die 2te Kurve zum Stellplatz hin sehr eng angelegt. Grössere Mobile könnten mit dem linken Hinterrad über die Beetkante fahren. Doch das grössere Übel ist die Entsorungsstation für Chemietoiletten. Diese ist an der denkbar ungünstigsten Stelle angebracht. So etwas haben wir in über 500 von uns angefahrenen Plätzen noch nicht erlebt. Man hätte sich da besser von"Fachleuten" beraten lassen sollen. Als letztes wäre eine Müllentsorgung angebracht, da sonst der Müll in der Natur oder in Ecken des Platzes landet.--Ansonsten wünschen wir der Stadt Detmold und dem Einzelhandel sowie Kultureinrichtungen recht hohe Besucherzahlen.
