Description RV park
Our parking space is on the edge of Saxon Switzerland in the triangle Dresden, Pirna and Stolpen on the site of the old sawmill on the Wesenitz river. The old mill has been converted into a hydroelectric power station and the old lumber yard is now the RV parking area.
From here you can stand on the Bastei in 15 minutes, hike or climb in Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland, stroll in the old town of Pirna or go out for a nice meal or experience the nightlife in Dresden's Neustadt. Day trips to Stolpen Castle, Königstein Fortress, Pillnitz Castle, Moritzburg, the city of Dresden (Saxon Florence on the Elbe) or even Prague are possible. You can also just enjoy the peace and quiet by the river and relax here.
Immediate hiking routes include the favorite valley to the Belvedere above Lake Kastaniensee, the high bridges to Pillnitz or the beautiful Wesenitz Valley with the transition from the Lausitz granite slab to the Saxon Elbe sandstone where R. Wagner had already composed Lohengrin.
Public transport is 3 walking minutes away. Overland bus to Dresden, Pirna, Stolpen, Sebnitz.
